Start Here,   I Mean It !

People fill the doctors` surgeries with what they describe as a back pain or a neck pain, or more specifically doctors describe it as narrowed disc spaces, slipped disc, trapped nerve, lumbago, fibrositis, spondylosis, myositis, myalgia, muscular rheumatism, etc. etc. Confusingly, one person may be given three different diagnoses from three different doctors , or physiotherapists or  chiropractors etc.  for a similar condition. A person may even be told by doctors that nothing is wrong, but what he means is that there is no  structural bone, joint or muscle damage. However, people  do not understand how this can be, especially as they are in pain, and quite often in extremely debilitating pain.

This paper will describe how the pain that people suffer in the back and the neck and other parts of the body, can be due to muscle tension, - that is , muscle tension in a precise muscle or muscle group. Muscles  can become tense due to stress. When these muscles REMAIN TENSE,  they become painful.  This paper will show that the pain, which `just came on` as they say, comes on at the start of a stress situation and will vary in intensity as the stress varies.  It will describe the treatment necessary for the painful muscles  and will show that the pain will clear up and will not re-occur ONLY when

a) the stress stops     or

b) the person changes their attitude so that it is no longer a stress to them,   or

c) the person forgets the stress.

Of course, ANY PERSON IN PAIN SHOULD ALWAYS CONSULT A DOCTOR AND HAVE THE CAUSE DIAGNOSED.

If the doctor diagnoses it as a pain in the muscles due to stress, treatment of the muscles is necessary.  In some cases, counselling for the stress condition may be helpful.
